ABOUT ME
Agathe Lavarel is a versatile artist: composer, arranger, flutist, singer and producer. Her music combines orchestral writing, jazz, electronic and vocal textures.
Through the creation of albums, soundtracks for films, video games and exhibitions, she collaborates with French and Canadian artists, directors and companies. She advised on the artistic direction and production of Bellaire's track "Sambossa", featured on the "Sunset Ballad" EP (2023).
In 2023, she actively participated in the music design of an extended-reality exhibition on hip-hop in Quebec, at the Musée de la Civilisation du Québec (Canada) with Saga Stratégie Sonore.
She composes the original music for some twenty short films and video games, which have been sent to several international festivals.
In 2022, she won the 1st Prix Allia pour la Relève, awarded by the alliance of women in the creative industry in Canada. In 2023, she received the "J'explore" prize by La Nouvelle Onde (Fr), awarded to artists who are not limited to working with a single country.
She is currently perfecting her composition skills at the CNSMDP in Lyon.
